美國前副總統錢尼近日訪台，總統蔡英文7日上午接見錢尼，重申持續加強台美在貿易、投資、國防及民間交流等方面策略夥伴關係的重要意涵。
錢尼是前美國總統小布希8年的副手，也被譽為是史上最有實權的副總統之一。8月6日至9日應我國政府邀請，來台訪問。外交部指出，錢尼此行將拜會政府首長，就台美關係及區域經貿與安全局勢交換意見。另外，錢尼也將在8月8日出席「凱達格蘭論壇：二○一七亞太安全對話」，擔任專題演講貴賓。
蔡英文7日上午在總統府祕書長吳釗燮、外交部長李大維、美國在台協會台北辦事處代理處長傅德恩的陪同下，接見錢尼。
蔡英文指出，錢尼早在1979年擔任聯邦眾議員時就支持《台灣關係法》，該法立法38年以來，不僅是台灣安全及發展的重要基礎，對於亞太地區的和平及穩定也十分重要，是表現強健台美關係的最佳例證。
蔡英文強調，她樂見川普政府近期宣布對台軍售，展現美國政府有決心繼續履行對台灣的承諾。
蔡英文表示，一直以來，台美對於致力維持區域的和平穩定，都有著無可動搖的決心，也共同維護彼此的利益及價值。對於這份決心的承諾，不只需要行動，更需要共同的信念。因此，我們也很高興見到美國政府持續在亞太區域強化連結，並且重申跟盟友間的夥伴關係。
蔡英文期許，台美能繼續加強彼此的策略夥伴關係，尤其是在貿易、投資、國防及民間交流等方面。此外，她也希望在錢尼及川普政府的支持下，未來的台美關係能有更多進展。
尼莎颱風超大豪雨狂炸屏東，造成屏東縣內多處淹水，農委會今（29）日晚間發布最新土石流警戒預報，目前共有14條紅色警戒，全部都在屏東縣，包括兩鄉鎮、9村里；黃色警戒則有633條，遍布全台各縣市，僅基隆市、台北市、彰化縣除外。
根據行政院農委會晚間6時30分所發布最新土石流警戒資料顯示，紅色警戒共計14條，均落在屏東縣內，分布在2鄉鎮、9村里，分別為來義鄉丹林村、文樂村、來義村、古樓村、義林村、望嘉村，以及春日鄉力里村、歸崇村和古華村等。
黃色警戒部份多達663條，分布於14縣、39鄉鎮及229村，包括宜蘭縣、新北市、桃園市、新竹縣、苗栗縣、台中市、南投縣、雲林縣、嘉義縣、台南市、高雄市、屏東縣、台東縣和花蓮縣等。
農委會提醒，若為紅色警戒地區，地方政府應依災害防救法規定，進行勸告或強制其撤離，並作適當安置；黃色警戒區域，地方政府則要依法進行疏散避難勸告。
